Western NC weather impact

Hope all and any forum members are ok with all the flooding going on in the area. We’ve been following this all day during the last day of a trip back from Moab and Santa Fe and the pictures from Asheville and the surroundings are pretty scary. Selfishly, also looking for any updates on the area specifically between Erwin TN and Green Mountain NC as our son and his GF live there on NC 197 and we haven’t been able to connect since last night. We know power and cell communication is out for most people in the area but if anyone has any info please post or PM me. Thank you, and if you’re in the area our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Quick update - we received a call from our son and they're all ok, no real damage to either the house or greenhouses they use for the business. He estimates about half the trees are down in their lot. The area will take a while to rebuild, it's really sad....
