Before we both retired from the Air Force we were stationed at Vandenberg which is just north of you. California had great weather and some beautiful country. Just too many people for this Texas boy. Plus we love to hunt and shoot. California isn’t to gun friendly these days.
California native, left in 1990 for Spokane,Wa. Enjoyed it for 24 yrs. but wife got tired of the ice storms and cold. Almost never freezes here in Carpinteria. Grow banana’s, coffee, tomato’s year round.

I was raised south of Houston, just outside of Corpus Christi. I know how those hot humid temperatures are. One thing I really miss from Texas is the food. Here in Wyoming if you ask for Mexican food you never know what your going to get! One thing for sure is that it sure doesn’t taste anything like the food from Texas.It was cool 2 weeks ago for almost a week. Now this again.
Don’t feel too bad. We’re right up at the base of the BigHorn mountains. Weather forecast here are about 95% incorrect. When they say it may snow it usually doesn’t, and when they say zero percent chance of snow, we’ll have one of those days that it snows.
Our weather is suppose to start warming up tomorrow! By the end of the week it’ll be in the high 40’s & low 50’s. Just wish it would stay that way for awhile.
