I'm trying my hardest to have patience, but It has already been 7 weeks since I ordered nitto trail grapplers 40x13.5x17 and there still is no ETA. I've been browsing other tires and in my price range looking at toyo open country m/t or procomp xtreme mt2. I think the toyos would take as long as the nittos. What's the opinion here? Are the nittos worth waiting for

I have the procomp mt2s. Let me know if you have any questions about them.
I've heard the procomps have balancing issues and chunks off rubber break off while wheeling, is this true? I started looking at cooper because I can find them in stock, but have decided to wait until my rear axle shafts ship before asking for a refund on the nittos to see if they ship too.

Balancing does not seem to be a problem. Chunks of rubber breaking off while wheeling, yes, but minimal. Very small and only a few pieces. I think waiting for the nittos is your best due to waiting for the axle shafts though.

Was in the same boat waiting on Nitto Trail Grapplers in 40 inch. Went with Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ in 40x13.50 17. Got them in 2 days.

I've decided to wait until my rear axle shafts ship, if still no word on nittos I'm going to cancel the order and get either MTs or Cooper.

In my opinion do not buy the pro comp MTs unless you want noise. And I mean NOISE. Also 65% of the tread was gone after 10k miles. Very nice aggressive look but garbage product

Nitro and Toyo are made in the same plant, very similar construction. In my years in the business I have learned wait for what you want. Otherwise every time something bad happens you’ll blame it on the tires even if it wasn’t their fault.
