So I’m looking to wrap the upper half of my doors and I feel like the price is a little steep. I’ve been quoted 750$ for something that seems small. EDIT: Wrap only is for the doors, the fenders will remain colored.

Sounds reasonable to mee. It's not easy stuff. That's $180 a door, not terrible.

For amount of actual vinyl seems kinda high, but figuring in the precision and difficulty of install I suppose it's not crazy unreasonable. I think it would be worth it, looks nice!

Shop i like to use for tint here in Denver quoted me $900 to wrap my whole 17 Taco. And took me on a here is the labor involved field trip in their shop. I don’t think that quote is unreasonable (2nd pic looks pretty cool BTW). I bet if I asked the shop i like to quote my wrangler the price would be higher than it was on my Taco. Tons more nooks and crannies on the Wrangler.

$900 to wrap an entire Tacoma vs $750 to wrap 4 window frames? Sounds like a horrible deal to me based on those numbers.

I think $750 to do that minor job is a rip off. I'd keep looking.

What is the name of the shop?
Denver Window Tint, 2201 s. parker road 80231.
Waiting room isn’t the Four Seasons - its not horrible though! Ive sat there and worked on my laptop many times. Shop is clean, work is clean, prices are great for the work imo

Did you use matt or satin vinyl?

I've been looking into this myself. And the "real" shops will pull all the detachable stuff off, like the window trim and door handles, hinges, etc..
Then they wrap the whole thing and do the hinges separate. That way there are no noticeable seams when it all goes back together. You are mostly paying for all the disassembly and reassembly.

Personally I just want protection along the sides where I keep getting pin-striping from over-grown trails.

I'd like to do it myself, and could care less about seeing a small gap around the hinges and door handles. But I cannot figure out how to do precise cuts around the hinges without cutting into the paint. I would take it to a shop, but I'm not willing to pay for all that extra work.
