I have heard it can take anywhere from 6 weeks to 3 plus months to get the Jeep delivered. Can anyone give me an idea of how long it takes to get the VIN?

You should receive your VON (vehicle order number) as soon as the dealer places the order. Within 24 hrs for a reputable dealer. FCA will assign a VIN within a few days to a week. Contact Jeep Chat or your dealer to get your VIN.

Thanks! Never received a VON. Go figure. When I messaged the salesman and asked how long for a VIN he said about 30 days! I did not think that sounded right at all. Appreciate the info.

Took my dealer two weeks to order. Got my VIN 2 weeks after that. Order went in on October 4 and no updates on the build status yet from any source. Just my recent experience with a loaded 4xe Rubicon.

I ordered mine this morning - Rubicon 4xe. Got a VON immediately and should get a VIN in a day or two.

Got my VIN this morning. So about 24 hours to go from VON to VIN. Expecting delivery in January.

Very frustrating....still waiting on my VIN. I did bet the salesman a drink that he would have the VIN by the end of the week (vs the 30 days he told me). He was going to take the bet until he spoke with his boss who told him they would have it within the week. They told me at the time of order it should arrive in six to eight weeks. Apparently they did not think about the 22 models not even going into production until Dec?

Maya, call the head of sales. if they put the order in and you have a VON, there should be a VIN by now. Something isn't right.

Thanks, I actually received it yesterday! I messaged the salesman and he had just checked again and had it. Now to wait to be able to track it. When I checked last night there was nothing.

Don't count on it being trackable anytime soon, either at the online links or by Jeep Chat. I am 25 days out from my dealer placing my order, about 18 days since getting my VIN. Jeep Chat can see my order but there's no status updated anywhere.

Here's my experience:

8/31 - ordered
9/23 - received VIN (might have been ready before then, I wasn't pestering them too much the first few weeks)
10/5 - changed to "parts on hand/ready to build" status
10/8 - build in progress
10/11 - shipped
10/26 - arrived at the dealer, I picked it up that evening
