Since I picked up my Jeep in July, I always felt that it had a very narrow torque band. Power dropped off noticeably over 3000RPM. I figured if I took it in for service, they would tell me that they could not replicate the issue or that I was just unfamiliar with how a Jeep drives (a "Jeep thing" lol"). After a couple weeks the ESS and check engine lights started to stay on and I took it to the local dealer. Happily, my local dealer treated me great, gave me a loaner Cherokee, and fixed the issue in 2 days by replacing the variable valve lift solenoid. I feel pretty lucky that they were able to fix it in a timely fashion on my first visit and it now drives great!

Thought I would post this in case anyone is having a similar issue,
