Hi all,

After Multiple RRTs updates, my USB2 works as well as USB1 now.
I wish it is not only mine and fixes all their wranglers!

Update
Hi all,
My apologies.
I used USB2 with the GPS app and then the problem is still there. Carplay is disconnected randomly.
I should have tried few more days before I say "The problem is solved"

Would love to hear if your dealer ever gets the CarPlay randomly disconnecting problem solved, been an issue since day one, just completed all the RRTs and still dealer does not seem to be able to either replicate or fix it.....annoying as hell....

I had the issue of my center usb2 not working at all. It was disconnected. They took apart the center console and reconnected it. So off I went happy thinking all was well. When I tried to use my media it still did not work. I sent my dealer an email asking him what's up. They told me that the USB2 was strictly charge only and that It cannot accept media or carplay.

Well that’s odd, as both USB outlets in my 4XE (main dash below stereo and one in the center console compartment) will connect iPhone CarPlay to Uconnect and play media, but issue is both will randomly decide to disconnect (and tried all kinds of things to see what may cause it, but does it on calls, streaming music, using Waze for directions, using Apple maps and plain old doing nothing at all….it just disconnects when it wants).

Truly believe it will never be fixed and is 100% faulty software in the radio, but Jeep will keep blaming me and my phone (tried various ones), or my cord (also various ones), or my outlet (or tell you it is not made for media…lol), or my phone software, or my apps….. I’ve come to the realization ā€œit’s a Jeep thing…..ā€ ?

Interesting. So I am wondering if my service department is correct and that the outlier is that it is connecting albeit randomly disconnecting. Then that doesn't make sense because it's in the owner manual that it should accept media..?ā€ā™‚. When I pointed that out to them, the response was that it could be yet another misprint. ?

Being at least my 7th Jeep, from an 87 Cherokee, 2005 GC, 2015 Wrangler to a 17 SRT and a few others in between...I have had no issues with any other one of them.

While I am fairly fair/lenient, I understand these are mechanical and can have issues. However paying 65k+ on a vehicle, these issues should not be happening.

Doesn't mean I love my Jeep any less, Jeep (Stellantis) should be rectifying these issues and not be blaming owners on phones, cords or whatever.

Knock on wood.. No other issues on my 4xe Rubicon (yet).
