Acceleration not working after hard braking

2024 4xe Rubicon - I was driving today, ~45mph, fully charged in hybrid mode, and a driver next to me didn’t see me and started to change lanes. I had to hit the breaks hard and after that, pushing accelerator didn’t do anything, I was just moving slowly until I pushed on the break and stopped. Turned the car off and on and all was good. Is this some sort of safety feature or should I be concerned?
Google AI suggests it may have something to do with Max Regeneration...
