Upgrading to half doors question

I am in the market for a set of half doors and my understanding is that all the tech features that I presantly have (proximity doors and blind spot detection) will follow to my new half doors regardless of what safety packages the previous owner had. Is this correct? Tia

I bought a set this weekend. My jeep does not have proximity, but the new doors do, so it doesn't work.

Power locks DO work. Heated mirrors DO work.

I don't have BSM and I don't think these doors do either.

I understood that ALL half doors are equipped with power locks, Heated Mirrors, Proximity Entry. I have not read that BSM is on all.

Is there an indicator on the side mirror for BSM?

Yes, on the glass, near the top an orange arrow illuminates when some one is in your blind spot, thanks

That's what I thought...so,,I checked these mirrors and theres no indicator there on these doors.

So at least you can rule out the BSM as "always included". It's not.

Is it possible to make the proximity feature on the half doors work even if your Jeep wasn't originally equipped with it?

Yes,,but you have to add the module in your vehicle and (I assume) flash / reset the main computer to acknowledge it. I don't do all that
