I was able to get my order in for Mojito before the freeze...got a VON right away. When I found out that having the Trail Rail Management System in my order might add on another two weeks or more to time of delivery, I asked my dealer to see if it could be deleted from the order. This delete request was submitted only a couple of days after the VON was issued,
Jeep replied to my dealer that the TRMS could NOT be deleted from the order, even tho' a VIN had not yet been assigned. So it seems that Mojito is being treated as an absolute certainty and Jeep seems to be treating my VON the same as a VIN: no changes allowed!

Would Jeep treat my order this way if there was any chance they were going to delay this color?

I had thought that we could do changes until 'D'. Since we Mojito! guys are all still in 'C' I woulda thought that we could remove the TRMS (which I got as well). I'm kinda surprised too.

I'm also still in C status, but I did not order the TRMS.
The only thing I ordered that COULD delay my JL is the dual top group.

I hope my Mojito Sahara is in the first batch.

I got a followup email from my dealer. He contacted his district rep and the rep's supervisor. For some reason Jeep is refusing to delete the TRMS on my order even tho' I only have a VON, C category. With Mojito still three weeks away from starting assembly, I can understand why I do not have a VIN.
But I had always assumed that items could be added or deleted as long as only a VON had been assigned.
My dealer is just as confused as I, why the TRMS could not be deleted. I am not going to push this any further...I can wait an extra couple of weeks, I guess.
