Unknown cable underneath seat ??

Hey, anyone know what this cable is for? Just noticed it under the passenger seat in my 2020 Jeep wrangler sahara. Thx!

The is 100% not OEM. Pull your carpet and trace where it goes. Just noticed you are in Ottawa. If you want, DM me and I will take a look for you, I am in Kanata. I install kill switches into JLs for free. Also check out OJC FB group.

I think this cable is stock/OEM .. it runs from underneath the sealed carpet up under the seat...it may have just come off / disconnected with all the crap that's been under the seat? I have leather / heated seats, may have something to do with that, although the seat heats up.

Also having a fuel sensor issue , fuel level always showing empty and check engine light on, but runs fine, scanner showing P0463 error, wasn't sure if this would have anything to do with that.

You can see the cable coming out from the carpet in bottom right of this pic ... carpet is secured to the floor there.

Ya, on second look, it is OEM. And you are sure the heated seats for that seat actually work? Those connectors are specific to heating elements.

I am not sure, but could it be for the detector for the seat being occupied. I have 2020 Wranger but have never looked under the passenger seat. However I do know that it will detect if the seat is occupied and then if the seat belt is not on the person it will give a seatbelt warning.

The connection for the center console, usb ports and rear windows is under that seat. Some bus and other wires also pass through the area. There is a lot more going on under the seat besides seat functions. Maybe it was for convenience, but the wiring under the seat is poorly designed and executed.
