Hola,

First post in a while. Jeep is great overall. over 5yrs and just hit 50K Mi. Getting ready to replace the Nitto Ridge Grapples with Recon Grappler or Falkens.

Was messing around underneath the jeep and noticed all this rust. What to do? Do I replace suspension parts too when doing the tires. Want to maintain stock ride height. Opinions on all of it welcome.

personally I would take this as a good opportunity to upgrade your shocks with a higher quality even if you want to keep the same ride height. And for the other stuff I would hit it with some Fluid Film.

Some of that is just surface rust, but I'd do as SparkleTooth said and replace the shocks while you're at it. Good looking Jeep!

Thanks fellas. I will do the shocks too. Think I am going with the Fox 2.0. Appreciate the input!

The rust on frame and such is surface. Can hit it with wire brush and use rust converter to brush on or spray. The brushing part is the hardest part. There are several different types of converters you can pick up on amazon like Corroseal etc.

Just if you didn't know some info on it.
