Hi,
I have a 2020 Wrangler 4-door 3.6L With 29000 km on it. Over the past 6 weeks something weird has been happening with the Uconnect screen. If you want to change the heat settings usually when you touch the up or down arrows on the dash the screen will show the heat settings, either driver or passenger side and you can adjust the heat to the desired temperature. If the screen is not lit up already, for example the radio is not on, then as soon as you touch the up or down arrows the screen will come to life. Recently at certain times the screen will not light up and you have to turn the radio on to activate the screen or pull over and shut the motor off and on again. So it’s intermittent and no great hassle but you shouldn’t have to turn the radio on to adjust the heat.
Yesterday I took it to the dealership and within 15 minutes the shop foreman said it was fixed. Apparently they replaced and “flashed” a new part. Before I pulled away from the dealership it was still not working properly. Now the foreman will research the issue and call me to drop by anytime, no appointment necessary.
I’m just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what fixed it. I forgot to mention that once while the screen wasn’t working, the backup camera wasn’t either.
Thanks for any ideas!
Joe
