Uconnect 7 to 8.4 issues

Hello all, I recently swapped my 7” uconnect to an 8.4”. Everything seems to work fine except now my alpine sub and front driver side speaker is not working. I put the 7” uconnect back in and everything worked perfectly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a mismatch in the radio config. The 8.4 needs to be flashed/programmed for the Alpine system or it won’t send signal to the amp correctly.
Most people fix this with a dealer flash or something like JScan to set the radio for Alpine. Without that, subs and some channels usually won’t work

Not sure, I bought it on eBay. The seller didn’t specify. I may take it to the dealer and see if they can flash it. If not I’ll just return it and try again.

Do you know what I’m looking for in JScan? I just got it and it is all foreign to me. The dealer wants $250 to flash it with no guarantee of it working

In the modules cabin network there is an option to turn on the amp, idk if that is it as I have not done this.

No sabría ayudarte; a mi me pasa algo peor, tengo un JL sport con radio de 7’, cambie por el 8.4’ y visualmente se ve increíble; pero empiezan los problemas: no se escucha la radio, solo se escucha cuando coloco el pin de seguridad, es decir, la primera vez que se alimenta con corriente la radio; pero si pongo música desde el móvil si la reproduce y el sonido es infinitamente mejor que con la radio de 7’, luego no me va la cámara trasera, se queda la pantalla en azul y no me funciona nada del GPS y otras funciones. Cuando lo instalé me quedaron sin poder conectar 3 cables uno negro, otro gris, y otro morado, mas que nada por qué los colores de los conectores no coincidían con los de la radio. Si alguien me ayuda, me quedo con la radio de 8.4 y la vuelvo a instalar; si no, tristemente la venderé
