Guys: I just installed my security enclosure and I am fighting like crazy to get the lid to engage smoothly. Just talked to their customer service and the guy told me to send some pictures. All of the paint is already worn off on one side where metal is rubbing on metal. My initial reaction to this thing is that it’s a piece of junk. I had one of these in my JK for 10 years and it was perfect. But the lid was also built a different way and was much less flimsy than this one. This thing seems to have too much give in it in every direction to make it work right. Have you guys had a better experience with these things?

When I lower the lid, it scrapes metal to metal against the left side panel. It seems like the entire lid is tweaked a bit. It doesn’t open and close smoothly at all. You have to kind of force the one side and then the other. And then it takes almost all of my weight to get it to slide forward. Compared to the one in my JK, this metal is thinner and a lot more “flimsy”. For $550, I would have thought this would be extremely well built right out of the box.

The one saving grace is that the ARB37 fridge DOES fit under it. The customer service guy (John Poe) said he’d make it right for me, whatever it takes. I sent my pics and he didn’t respond; maybe because it was late on Friday. Time will tell.

Thank you so very much. I’ll measure my cooler tomorrow; the spec says it’s 16.9” tall. I put a 2” “lift kit” on the same enclosure in my JK, although it connected differently (I had my welders make me custom mounts that I bolted through the wheel wells). But with it being that close, I can likely make it work. That lip won’t allow for a fridge slide likely, but I’m okay with that. Thank you again. After I buy mine, I’ll post what the 37q ARB looks like underneath it.
37q ARB fits below it!! Yahoo.
