Trying to decide which one to get. I like the slantback look but wonder if I will miss being able to use the full height of the cargo area when traveling. Living in a cold climate I will most likely switch back to the hard top in winter months. Thanks

I had the slant back on my JKU. I loved the look and I'll probably order it again for my JLUR when it finally arrives. Since I'm getting rid of my truck I'll probably buy a trailer to haul larger things anyways.

My wife has the square back on her JLU. Which is probably perfect for her when she goes shopping.

I guess it's up to you to decide if the lack of space will hurt.

I sold my TrekTop and bought a Premium Soft top for the cargo space, and less flopping in the wind. I'd go for the SuperTop, unless you don't bring much luggage on a road trip.

That was my concern. We travel to the lake almost every weekend in the summer with coolers/bags and such. The first time I need the space I'm sure I'll be pissed and put it up for sale the next day! Guess it could be worse.
What was so floppy with the slantback?

I had an early trektop for the JL and the back of the top flopped in the wind. I think later versions had velcro on the back window to fix that issue.

I have the supertop ultra and have zero complaints. The slantback design isn't for me. I use a hardtop over the winter months and the initial install of the supertop was time consuming, but I just reinstalled it a few weeks ago, and it took about an hour start to finish taking my time.

I have the Trektop Ultra that I use half of the year, hardtop in the winter as well. I haven't really noticed the loss of space because of the slant back. I also have a hard tonneau in the back that is somewhat secure and also acts as a shelf. I put supplies and bags for a long weekend for six of us in the Jeep as the supply vehicle with no issues at all. Here's a pic without the back window in but you can see how there is still a lot of space to use.

I prefer the space and look of the supertop ultra, I use it all year round. My area doesn’t get too cold, usually on low 20s at night, and sometimes into the teens, days are usually mid-high 30s in the winter so can’t help with super cold climates.
