Sooo my goal is to one day strip as much of the black dash/trim of my jeep as possible (I hate black dashes, they absorb to much heat, and over 80% of vehicles are covered in black on the inside)... One thing I haven't seen in my perusals online is offers to replace the top pad of the dash. Does anyone know if there is anywhere else to get this done other than mopar? Picture below circling the part I am talking about.

it's a jeep and if you are going to be riding it topless it's going to get hot regardless...

I've used Dashmats or similar dash covers on my vehicles. They cover well and help keep glare and heat down.

Yeah New Guy from New Hampshire, you ever been?
No I haven't but I have to assume that hot is a relative term. Some people consider 80° as hot some 90°. We hit 90°+ with high humidity here numerous times during the Summer.

Im just joshing with you.

Good luck in your search. Although I doubt you will find what you're looking for.

We've had a rather mild summer compared to last year.

Check the utube for dash removal or colored insert removal. The dash disassembles very easily. the part you're talking about pulls directly towards you once you get the stereo surround out and pop out that screw...then you can cover it in grandmas curtains or shag carpet if you prefer. Can also do the grab bar handle, dash panels and speakers whie you have the dash apart(wish I knew about the speakers when I had it broken down).
