I am 59 and have shoulder problems. I was thinking of purchasing the top lift pro to remove my hard top. Is it easy to use for an older person without much strength or should I also opt for the power option? How difficult is it to push down and raise the top off? Thanks.

Best way to use is to lean on bar and just push down with your upper body weight, not just your arms. Works super easy, on and off.

Thank you!!
Hey all,
Just saw this today. I have to say, I have the TopLift Pro and it is awesome. Definitely makes it a lot quicker to remove the top and gives you a nice storage option. However, I myself find it a bit tough to lift. I'm only about 140lbs and I put my whole body into it along with a lot of force from my arms. I can get the thing to lift, but it definitely is not as easy as it appears to be in the videos that I've seen. It certainly helps if you have somebody there to assist, but it is possible on your own.

Given effort it take to lift and lower the top by myself with a top lift pro, I would probably get the power option if I had a injury that might affect my strength.

@hoag4147 explains it good. Use your weight. You just slowly let it go down with your forearms and release bar.

Bringing up lean forearms and click bar up as high as you need.

Roll straight don't pull on the Hardtop to move it. Has locking wheels.

One and done.

If you've got your heart set on a Top Lift Prop Tina that's one thing.

If, on the other hand you seek an option for someone lacking upper body strength the Freedom Jack pumps the hard top up with a long, easy to pump lever: easier than a bicycle pump.

I like mine. You can hug the bar and use your weight to help you if need be but lifting the top is pretty easy and straight forward. The surprise and thing to watch out for is when you go to put the top back on your jeep. Be prepared for the weight of the top when you release the lock handle, it's going to be heavier than you remembered and it might surprise you how much it wants to come back down.

Yes, I put my weight on bar and then release handle slowly. I had to put my top back on first time 2 weeks ago. Just too hot open here in Texas now. I knew the top was going to be heavy so I already leaned into bar. Once you do it you will get better handle on it.

I didn't use the instruction book to assembly. I played the Video how to assembly and just paused it while put together. The book is ok but the video to me was much better to see and do.
