Tire Question: What is this stuff?

Cleans the white letters AND black-wall tires look fresh again.

The white letters get dirt and brake dust buildup on them just like the wheels will. Putting tire shine on dirty white letters makes it worse. I ran white letter tires for years on rigs (granted this was back in the 1990's) and used the stuff shown above also. Every wash I would spray it on and scrub it off with a brush. If you never clean the letters eventually they will be dirty enough you can't hardly even see them.

I discovered throught trial and error just how much I like using Adams Wheel & Tire Cleaner as well. Great stuff.

And... I also discovered after using 303 on my hard top and enjoying the protection, I decided to try using it on my tires as well. But instead of just spraying it on the tires and letting it dry, if you will, I used my Adams tire brush to make sure that I distributed the 303 all over the sides of the tire and into every crevice. I let that set for about 10 minutes or so and followed it with brushing from a large horse hair shoe brush. Not only do my tires look like showroom nice... I've been through three rainstorms where I had to drive through axle deep water on the streets for 5 or 6 blocks and then just parked the Jeep in the garage. Two weeks later, my tires continue to look really nice.
