Greetings all,

I recently bought a tire inflator\gauge from Amazon. $37, digital. I already had one, but the chuck on the one I have doesn't hold onto the stem very well and this new one was supposed to have a great chuck.

So I get the new one in and the gauge is off. WAY OFF. Like, 5psi off. So I send it back and get another one, and this one is also wrong by about the same margin. They send me a THIRD one and this one is only 3psi off, but that's still not ok with me. The first one I got (with the crappy chuck) reads perfectly (meaning it matches the TPMS sensor) as long as I hold it onto the tire so I don't see any reason why I should be ok with getting a gauge that's so far off. I really shouldn't have to do math in my head when the gauge is supposed to tell me the correct pressure.

So, where can I get a quality tire inflator\gauge?? The ones on the PowerTank web site are insanely expensive. I think they start around $75 and jump up well over $120. That being said, if those are very accurate and reliable maybe they're worth it.

Suggestions??

shoot, i use the 4 dollar one off the Auto zone counter. reads with a +-1 factor. i mean tires are not that sensitive.... 30-35 psi is just fine
