I am looking to tint my factory indicators, not sure if I should use the nightshade stuff or tint. Any opinions are appreciated

Personally, I wouldn't tint them. I know it's meant to blend them in with a darker body color, and it works well when it's parked, but out on the road is a different story. That clean look always gets washed away with the thought of how unnoticeable the directional becomes during the day to those you're trying to get the attention of. On the JL specifically, it would also dim out the fender drl compared to the halo, and would look off. Again, just my opinion.

Have you seen the clear corner led replacement lamp from Diode Dynamics? It would compliment the drl/turn lamp by adding some uniformity, without the loss of function. They also have it in a smoked version. There's a bunch of pics on the product page, and both look sweet on a black wrangler with the stock fender lamp.

I have the smoked on a red Wrangler, and it would also blend in nicely on your black.

Another way is to use plastidip smoke. Using it, you can go back to stock look easily.
