Exactly. It’s what I used to love about TDS. Sure, it isn’t as hard as rock crawling, but it’s a fun event to interact with, while also off road. Tons of stuff to do in anza borrego!
Well, I’ve only been to 2 in the past but mostly what happens is you have a giant central event with vendors (is there a show? No idea. Didn’t look. Was having fun with friends and new friends. There might have been fireworks? Don’t quote me. There was a large raffle though. If I recall correctly.. Axles, lifts, lockers, etc).. and then you have tons of other people just in the area doing their own thing. Running different trails, checking out vendors, doing the truckhaven obstacles, running the official trail run (I’m just guessing that’s part of the registration cost, if one chooses to do that), but I ran once with the 4x4 Corps, and then with JK Forum. Was a blast each time.
