Introducing our latest addition to the LYNX Survival Systems line: The TrailGuard!
Most water bottle-style survival kits are the same, outdated, mass produced relabeled crap made in China. I wanted to build a kit that used proven, hard use gear that won't let you down when you need it most. Every single piece of gear in this kit was carefully selected, only including items I would personally rely on.
I'm willing to bet most folks here do not carry, or have considered, what kind of survival gear they should keep in their Jeeps. Many of us strike out into some pretty isolated areas and do some really wild stuff with our rigs. Even if you don't do the wild and stick to the mild, you should still seriously consider what kind of survival gear you have. This isn't "prepper" mentality, this is like having a fire extinguisher in your vehicle. You'll probably never use it, but when you do you will be damn glad you had it. Being prepared for unexpected, life-threatening situations is smart planning, not paranoia. From breakdowns to roll overs, freak storms and getting lost, you never know what good ol' Murphy may throw at you. This kit is small enough to stash under your rear seats, and for you two door owners it won't take up critical cargo space.
I started with the the basic, humble Nalgene 32oz wide mouth water bottle. Pretty much bomb proof and everyone knows it as a solid piece of it. From there, I paired it with Campcraft Outdoors canvas carry bag which was designed to be used as a pre-filter for water you are purifying, straining out debris, sediment and other nasties. These bags are incredibly durable, hand stitched right here in the US by a small family. It doesn't get any more Made in the USA than that.
Not only have I saved you the time and effort into researching gear, I hand assemble every kit myself. These things come packed and ready to go with the exception of the Katadyn tablets. Those come in their original packaging because the instructions are printed on the box and you need to familiarize yourself with their proper use before loading them into the kit. On average, if you were to build this kit yourself you save 10% on cost by purchasing it from us, not to mention the time invested in ordering from multiple places, waiting on shipping, putting it together and not to mention research time.
