Working with the Teraflex Steering Stabilzer 2.2 for JLU. I need to remove the bracket that is connected to the tube of the steering stabilizer. Called Teraflex customer support the other day. Guy tells me that the bolt has Green Loctite on it, so I’ll need to heat it up.

Tried today with a blow torch, bench vise, and a big Allen sky. Couldn’t get it to budge.

Just wanted to check in with all the folks smarter than me before I tried some drastic. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I would have thought a blow torch would have done it... I have used Mapp gas on red thread locker successfully before and red is stronger than green. Perhaps concentrate the application of the flame more directly on the set screw?

Sucks you are having trouble. If i remember correctly, i used a vise to hold the clamp, and had no trouble removing mine.

Torch does it - more heat, Spanky!!

EDIT: If i remember correctly - these are threaded backwards, so might confirm that.

Yes, good call out. Completely forgot that yes I remember it as reverse threaded as well.
