I just installed the Teraflex ST1 1.5" spacer lift (2" in front) with the included extended length Falcon foam bump stops on my '21 JLU Rubicon. These are approximately 1.5" longer than the stock bumps. I also installed fox 2.0 shocks for a 2-3" lift as well as some Metalcloak bump stop pad extensions. These extensions are basically hockey pucks of 1" thickness so I can either install one or two of them.

With everything is installed I have the following measurements:
5" of shock compression
4.75" of distance between the metal jounce tube and the 2" bump stop extension but only 1.5" of distance between foam bump stop and bump extension.
5.75" of distance between the metal jounce tube and the 1" bump stop extension and 2.5" of distance between foam bump stop and bump extension.

Which is the better way to go with? Will the foam when completely compressed still add some stop to keep the metal jounce off the bump bump extensions and the shock from bottoming out in the second scenario? What are the cons of only 1.5" of distance until the foam contacts the stops if the first scenario is the way to go? Thanks.

These are front measurements? Fox 2.0 IFP Performance with 16.75" compressed?

Are you measuring shaft only and not the shock jounces?

The chrome shock shaft has approximately 5" of up travel until the rubber stop hits the shock body, that's what I originally called shock compression. I'm probably using the wrong terminology but imagine if the foam "jounce" was not there and only the metal tube was there. The distance between the metal jounce tube and the 2" extended stop is approximately 4.75 inches. With the 1" extended stop it is approximately 5.75 inches. With the foam jounces inserted there is approximately 1.5" of space between the jounce and the 2" extended stop and 2.5" with the 1" stop. I tried to capture the distance in the pictures.

Ok, gotcha, the numbers weren't what I expected until I realized the Fox shock jounce wasn't included.

I would personally go with 1", the TF progressives with the Fox jounces should offer adequate protection in even front compression.

Is that enough for clearance for your chosen wheel/tire combo? I think you'll be okay with the shock in flex, but gets kind of funky since the pads and jounces don't hit square. Even then, you'll likely be okay because it will be significantly lower speed.

Awesome, thank you. Right now I'm waiting for the stock 33"s to wear out and then I'll probably go up to 35s and my wheels are 0 offset so I think I should be ok. I can always add the addition stop if needed.

Haven't used the TF jounces, but I think you'll like the additional uptravel and a progressive jounce in the rough stuff.
