Technical question on tread lightly membership

Can someone please dumb down for me the exact date the tread lightly affiliate discount goes into effect? I know it is 30 days but let’s say you join May 1st. Does May 1st count as day 1 or no? In the above example, when would the code be finally activated? May 30th? May 31st? Or June 1st? Thanks!!

I have nothing to base it on as I very recently joined, but I'd assume its based on the date in the membership letter you'll receive via email.

I signed up for TL on 4/24, and received my letter on 4/28.
