Remanufactured engines are the go-to for warranty repairs. It’s only because the supply chain sucks right now that they’re on approximately a 6 week back order.

They don’t, and they didn’t.If you look up JL wrangler engine noise on YouTube you will find other engines that sound like OP's video. 58willys jeep is a 2018 which was the first year and you could still get a 2018 JK back then because they changed to the JL half way through that year. I bet they either put in a different oil pump or different ECM software after 2019. Ive noticed that the 2018 models are quieter than the new ones.
@mwilk012 thanks for all of your replies. You are always active and informative, not just on my post but many other threads I've followed. Crossing my fingers they get this right. I don't want to be the negative Nancy guy on the forums. I know every vehicle has common problems, which doesn't mean it's a bad vehicle. Clearly the 3.6 is a solid engine overall, but if you get one with one of these issues they need to resolve it correctly. ?They don’t, and they didn’t.
You should be good as new when they get it all buttoned up. I’d feel much, much better about a properly built factory engine than one rebuilt at a dealership by the average technician. They’re very delicate and complex engines.@mwilk012 thanks for all of your replies. You are always active and informative, not just on my post but many other threads I've followed. Had my 2021 3.6 put in the shop with a tapping noise. They diagnosed it the same as my dad did as a lifter/cam issue. Took it back the other day and here we are again. Now it's making a sucking/whistle noise. Let me know what you think.
