I have not had the opportunity to eyeball both the LED and non-LED tail lights. My JL has LED. So, I was curious which taillight, LED or not.

So, two posts now.. one with LED and one without LED.

Regardless, moisture in a taillight is not normal. FCA, should and will replace under warranty, as it is a part with a structural integrity issue.

Just to play devil's advocate:devil:

.......... Are you guys using a pressure washer to clean your JL's ?

Dealership Service Dept. will ask. IF you did, do deny ever doing so........

Yeah, I know lots of guys pressure wash and ya-a-ya-da...

So far my dealer says there is a service bulletin that states unless the water is pooling they will not replace them under warranty

Only been hand washed twice since I’ve had it. Problem is timing if JL parts, my JL Sahara needed a new radio and still hadn’t arrived 6 weeks after problem (got wet per dealership fault) when I traded it fir my Rubi

Mine are not LED and have never been pressure washed. I actually removed the lens, dryed it, and replaced. Two dry days later moisture is back.

@VArubicon

Dealer time. Stop fooling with it or dealership may say you were messing with it. I would not even tell the dealer you had fooled with it... dried it out once already.

Let the light get full of moisture and then go to dealer. Don't go when no moisture is present. This may require a drive by, drop in, service dept. visit when moisture is really apparent.

That’s crappy. You could possibly “supplement” the amount of water inside the lens to aid it in pooling if that’s their criteria for warranty replacement. Just sayin... ;)

No pooling in mine, just condensation on the glass. No questions asked, being replaced under warranty. Took about 2 months to get the part in, Finally arrived this week and service scheduled next week. I’ve never used a pressure washer in it, hand wash only so far. I noticed within a couple weeks of owning my JL. Had service look at it when I took it in for the cruise recall. Oh, and it’s so damn hot and humid here that’s there’s condensation in mine always lol

Dropped mine off today. Getting replaced under warranty. Also got a rental for the day through Jeep wave. No questions asked on either.
