According to this video autopark doesn’t look for drivers seat belt when doors are off. Start video at about the 2:20 mark.

All trim levels have autopark - it is a feature that prevents you from opening the door when switching from P to R or D while the Jeep is rolling in either direction, has nothing to do with the Active Safety Package.
@digitalbliss

You are absolutely WRONG! All JL's have Auto Park.
Sorry, I was thinking of parksense... No need to YELL about it.

Can tell you @brandonh 's video is tainted from what I saw in testing. Brandon does a good job with his videos but like everyone else he is wrong or skirts around things on occasion. Reality is this is all new to all of us to include Brandon. Example he was off base / wrong in his video talking about "Storage Mode". He ended up deleting that video..

Anyway, I can only tell you what I saw first hand. Lets see if others chime in and tell what they are seeing.

Note: In the video, IF Brandon had gotten out of the JL,with the seat belt unfastened, the Jl would have sensed his weight leaving the seat and it would have went into auto park. He never left the vehicle.

If I jump out of or leave the vehicle with the doors off I hope it stops.

Ha Ha..... Yeah, me too... :cwl:

All I am trying to point out is how the vehicle behaves and no more. As mentioned, had Brandon left the seat, even though door was removed and even with seat belt unattached the JL senses the weight leaving the driver's seat and goes into auto park.

The whole auto park thing is interesting and so much to it, I guess you would say.. Yes, a safety feature but can be a pain to deal with.

Ok, your doors were off.. Was your DRIVER'S side seat belt not fastened when auto park engaged?
I think it was on, but sometimes I unclick it just as I arrive at my destination so I can not say with 100% certainty. I will pay close attention meow and report back. :)
