I added Spidertrax 1.75 spacer for shits and giggles factory suspension and factory XR wheels and tires. Not sure if I want to lift or add 37s to the JL as I did the JT so I wanted to see what more wheel poke would look like as is. And I like it, so long as I leave the flares. I’m waiting for my Metalcloak gutz delete kit to arrived and I’m going to try and keep the flares intact just chop the factory blinkers off.

Just installed the @Metalcloak gutz delete kit. I only trimmed the fenders and didn’t do a full chop. Light is plug and play, no issues going from factory halogen to these LEDs. I didn’t change any settings with the Tazer. I have the other chop kit on my Gladiator and have issues I’ve learned to deal with. Metalcloaks being close to half the price of others with zero issues I highly recommend anyone looking to trim their fenders to go check out metalcloak’s

Went with the @Metalcloak Crawler Narrow Width rear bumper. Install was super straight forward and did not have to remove the spare tire to install. Can be done solo but yes bumper slipped once but I caught it 🤯 no damage. Although the powder coating is not the cheap flaky coating I’ve seen on other brands!!! Now I need to find a tucked muffler that sounds decent.

Rear diff skid added. I scraped the front diff on my Gladiator so I will be adding the @Metalcloak fronts to both soon enough.

Installed the @Metalcloak third brake light relocate bracket. Im glad I was able to put the cover back over the rear camera and Metalcloak bracket is simple clean without and frills.
Still need to install the rear inner liners and rear shock skids.

Finished the Metalcloak Overline Rocker Rails. I went with their powdercoat. I can’t stress enough how sold the coating is compared to other bumpers/steps/rails I’ve had that are flaking.
Fitment is perfect just like other reviews stated. End to end line up perfectly pictures on their site don’t justify how detailed this design is. I’ll post pictures showing more angles.

Rear shock skids installed, best to just unbolt control arm at shock and loosen at frame to allow for any shifting and lining bolts back through. Rear inner liners installed. Only removed plastic liners and saved complete outer flares

These are the rails that I am really wanting to get. I have metalcloak for everything else and you are absolutely correct that the powder coat and quality is simply top notch. My only hesitation with the rails are the pinch seam. I live in the southeast and I’m not doing any serious rock crawling, but I do encounter difficult obstacles often, downed trees, hard clay, and mud. Of course most folks recommend frame mounted rails, but how are you liking those overlines? Have you put them through any abuse yet?

I have not, but the bottom of the slider/rail is as they say boat side deflection. Its practically flat wont snag just slide and its reinforced at all the right places. Ill go outside and take a picture.

Removed the sore thumb of a muffler and honestly sounds stock once it’s warmed up. Not removing for sound or performance just the stock setup bothered me visually.
All that’s needed is a 15mm , extension and swivel if you want and cracked it loose. Pry bar and a piece of 2x4 to create more leverage. Spray the rubber with silicone spray and push the top of the mount off and easy peezy. Find the sweet spot as you rock the rear section off the factory muffler off and it drops right out. Picture taking made this a 15 minute job. From finding the right tools and a piece of 2x4.

6 more boxes of @Metalcloak goodies arrived today. Tires from @Discount Tire arrived today too. Will get tires mounted tomorrow before putting lift on so we can see how they look and fit before the lift is installed.

@Discount Tire comes through once again. Falken Wildpeak RT01 37x12.5R17 mounted on the factory XR Wheels. The BFG are really block brick looking and I was never a fan of BFG when I used to sell tires for dealerships. I have Milestars on the JT so I wanted to try something else. First impression ZERO road noise vs the BFG. Bumps and ruts not noticeable unless I’m thinking about it. Profile wise, the Falken appear narrower. I’m running Spidertrax spacers, I prefer more poke and with factory flares they all mesh nicely.
