Hello experts,
I'm negotiating a custom order (Sport S) from Mark Dodge and would like to cross reference 2 items I'm being told by the sales rep. First, he said the only motor available now is the V6 and he attributed it to the strike. Second, the 8 speed automatic is now priced at $4500...well above the $2500 I've seen on the Jeep Build site and on recent speakers. Is this consistent to what you all are hearing??
Thanks,
mlatiolais

On the build site and Jeep's order guide the 2.0 is the only engine available on the lower trims and the V6 on the Rubicon. But another member here recently said his salesman told him the V6 is now the engine for the lower trims (at least temporarily).
The auto is $4500 for the V6 and $2500 for the 2.0.
The theory is that they want to push people to the 2.0

I doubt anything will make it through unscathed if it is placed now until the strike is resolved. They keep adding more factories every couple days.

If you are ordering something, be prepared to wait regardless of configuration.

Yeah, I agree. Gupton is telling me that the 2.0's are still available for order. This directly contradicts what Mark Dodge is saying.
The truth is out there somewhere...

I appreciate all you guys on the forum.

I do know that back in early August the only option on the Sport, Sport S, and Willys was either 2.0L with Automatic trans or 3.6L V6 with manual. Then in the middle of August, the 2.0L was put on hold, no longer available for orders. And the only option was the 3.6L with automatic, which made the motor/transmission combination cost $4500. In early August I did order a 2 door Willys and wanted automatic transmission so ended up with 2.0L Turbo. Couldn't get the 3.6L with automatic at that time.

I do believe that the 2.0L is still restricted with the automatic transmission. So, only option is 3.6L V6 and automatic transmission at $4500. I'm only reporting on what I experienced, and things may have changed since then.

Gupton has a good reputation for being straightforward with their customers.
If and when you do order they may be the ones you want to go to.
There are plenty of people here on the forum that have nothing but good things to say about the way they were treated by them.

Good luck - I hope this strike ends soon and folks can get their Jeeps.

I've heard the same about Gupton having a great reputation with their customers. So it's interesting they are saying that the 2.0L is now available again with the automatic transmission. I ordered with Mark Dodge and felt they have been pretty straightforward also. Not sure why the contradictory information. Makes it confusing for sure.

Did you check with @Mitch@OurismanClarksville? He's awesome and knows his stuff..... my order was placed on Aug 31, and is sitting in queue to begin production when the strike is over. Best of luck to you!

I will facetime anyone and show them my screen, ask them to do the same.

I can not order 2.0 motors as a gas engine at all. I assume it is that way for all dealerships but if they can order it then that's major issue and I need answers from someone lol

To sum up, Mark Dodge says V6 only, Gupton said 2.0L still avail, but I'm still waiting for a call back so it is not 100% confirmed. I'll keep you all posted.

Yea, I think at the end of the day I'll find you're right. V6 only for now.
I think I will wait them out.

Just got confirmation from Gupton that the 2.0L is NOT currently available. I think that puts us all on the same page.
