All,

I have new Pro Comp 97 wheels, which are steel. They didn't come with a centrichub ring, nor after searching can I find one. I bought 71.5 to 78mm, but they are too small for the wheels. The next size up is 71.5 to 87, which are too large. I have heard various people say on steel wheels you don't need them. Thoughts?

Thanks.

Its not that you dont need them but you can get by without using them, on any non-hub centric wheel, by centering the wheel on the lugs. Its called lug-centric. But it requires you to have the studs nice and centered in the hole. The lug nuts will help since theyre concentric. Still, using hub rings is always ideal if you can. If the lug holes are big and the hub bore is big then it can be off and cause vibration issues while driving as well as snap a stud off.

does pro comp list the hub bore size on the box or ad listing? May need to call them

Thank you. They don't. I called them and they had no idea. I bought the wheels from Extreme Terrain. After spending an hour on the phone with them, they reached out to ProComp directly who also didn't know.

My thought process is that if the manufacturer doesn't know, the reseller doesn't know, and allegedly there is no viable size made, are they not needed?
