So, my Wrangler has a start/stop system. In the beginning when I had my wrangler the system was really annoying. For example: when I pushed the gas pedal when the engine was about to turn of because I was stationary the whole care went into safety mode and I had to completely restart it. But since a while the system stopped working. The engine doesn’t shut off anymore at the trafficlights when it is red. Is that normal or is there something wrong with the system?

There is a screen on the dash which will tell you the state of ESS. There are a variety of reasons why it won't kick in. The most common is "Cabin Heating/Cooling". If the reason is "Battery Charging" when there isn't an obvious reason why the battery is still charging, your batteries are failing and you only have several months before they fail to operate the Jeep. you should plan on replacing both your Main and Aux batteries (always replace both at the same time even if one still tests "good").

Where is the screen that tells the status of the ESS? I don’t think it is the battery. The car is only 2 years old and has only 33k miles. And the battery indicates almost 14 volts.
