Bringing this topic back. I have a delete and leave the spare at home, no regrets. But I do want to bring it occasionally on longer trips or off-road. Rather have it inside for better center of gravity and not reinstalling the carrier. Another thread pointed to a $900 option with a broken link. My ratchet strap idea has worked in the past. It seems like it would be pretty easy to make a bracket to hold it on the side. If I can fab something up would you buy one?This thread has turned into a thread about............ ?
