Soft top waterproofing

Does anyone have any recommendations for maintaining the soft tops "waterproofness", such as a DWR spray? Or are these things pretty bulletproof? I have the premium soft top but this is my first time having one so I haven't taken it through any serious rain yet.

I ask because I'm about to spend several hours driving through this new tropical storm Alberto.

I've owned 4 Wranglers and never had any leaks, nor did I apply waterproofing. The only times the interior got wet is when I left the top off overnight and had condensation (or was too lazy, and got flooded by a thunderstorm.)

i drove for a solid day through rain and snow from Idaho to June lake and had no issues.

I have the premium soft top and used Bestop twill protectant. Now the water just beads off. I got a bottle for $30 CAN at 4wheelparts and also bought some soft top window cleaner.

303 Spray was recommended to me here for the protection you seek:

303 is great stuff - I’ve used it for years on my boat’s vinyl and car/truck plastic. I don’t think I’d use it to waterproof the soft top, though. It’d protect it from UV, but I don’t believe it would make water bead up and roll off.

Anyway, I think @Borgs has the right answer, here. Since BestTop make the soft tops, I’m going to trust their formula.
