I’m not sure if this was sewn incorrectly but every time I open and shut the hatch it rubs the top and has already worn a hole into it - see the pics. It's on my 2018 that I leased in July of 2019. Would Jeep replace the back window in this case? It's the base top on a 2-door JL. @Bestop or @JeepCares , any ideas?

Early ones had this problem and you can probably find old posts on here where people got a window replaced under warranty.

Mine hits just a little and most of the time I can pull it left and out of the way, but it is worn there too. I showed this to my dealer and he said before they could warranty it, they would have to make an attempt to “move” the entire top assembly to re-center it by disassembling it and putting it back on to see what that does. This was at an oil change and they couldn’t do it then, we agreed that he’d make a note of the concern, this was at 5000 miles, and we’d re-look at it before the warranty was up.

So since then I’ve just been pulling it left as much as I can and it’s doing ok.

Hi @The Fixer,

Thanks for tagging us. We recommend having your servicing Jeep dealer take a look at this. https://www.jeep.com/find-dealer.html

Thank you Darlene, I'll swing by the local dealership on my way home next week and see what they have to say.

Seems fair enough, hopefully they will take care of yours. TBH though, I'm not sure how resetting the top will fix the issue, from what I recall the brackets that hold the soft top to the sport bar do not have any adjustments on them; the holes just line up and it bolts together.

The Jeep dealership I pass on the way home from work is affiliated with the same dealer we got our Wranglers from, so I will see what they have to say. I'll update when I get over there.
