Now that those of us in Portland, OR are finally getting some sunshine, a quick question about the OEM soft top on a 2024 JLU. I've been able to gain some competency in folding the top into the sunrider position, but it seems there are two sunrider positions available. One exposes the front and rear seats, the other, just the front seats. Does this have to do with the finger latch that swivels on the 3rd rib that you push to release it?
I've been having to fold it back by myself, so things get a little busy lifting, pulling. pushing while trying to get the folds to lay relatively flat. I've really not seen any documentation on how exactly the moving part is on the 3rd rib from the front comes into play enabling or disabling particular positions. In fact I don't remember seeing any mention of the 3rd rib release at all. Certainly nothing in all the videos showing soft top operation.
Appreciate if someone would take a minute and walk me through the trick of mastering this monster. Thanks!
