After having the top down this weekend and traveling on the interstate (70-72mph) and in high winds (40-45mph), I had an issue with my soft top latch coming loose. It was just the Driver's side that released but DAMN...it scared the pee out of us. It opened enough to see light through the gap. I quickly pulled over and checked everything. The only possible is that the latch on the driver's side was a little looser than the passenger side but it didn't feel like it was that much looser. I do plan on making a visit to the dealership to let them look at it (and a few other things) soon but was just curious if anyone else has had this issue.

Are you referring to the latch above the windshield? I haven’t had that happen, thankfully.

Yeah...the latch that holds the soft top down to the windshield frame.

Go to dealer and make them fix it. No way should it be even close to loose enough for that to happen. I have PST, only, and after 14 months and 23,000 miles I can say there's ZERO chance that mine could do what you describe - it clamps down tighter than a duck's ass.
