Can you lift the soft top back, just for that sunroof open air feeling, without taking it down all the way?

Yes it is called the sun rider position. You unlatch the front two latches, flip it back, secure frame pieces with Velcro straps, and off you go. Easy Peasy!

2 Door but same thing:

I've been using it a lot lately. Takes like 30 secs. I quit using the velcro. Doesn't need it and just takes time to put on and off.

With the 4 door version, the weight of the frame keeps it pushed down nicely. I've gone up to 75 mph and it was fine.

Yes you do not NEED to put them on but it can bounce around a bit. I have done the same with no issues. I felt however for the extra 30 seconds I would use them to keep it from bouncing around possibly causing additional wear on the hinges. Not sure if it does cause additional wear but I would be pissed if anything happened due to this for the minimal extra time it takes to strap them on.
