We have a 2023 JLUR with the premium soft top. For the first couple weeks, there was no noise with the top up. Everything was fine. In the last few days, there is a huge amount of rattling while underway, and then a loud banging noise. It almost sounds like air has gotten inside and is pushing upwards on the top. We have removed and reinstalled the windows several times and can't find any holes or openings. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hoping there is a reply to this thread. 2023 Sahara I’ve had for four months was quiet until about a month ago. It aligns with cold weather but I can’t find that mentioned being a reason anywhere.

Are you sure the sound you're hearing is coming from the soft top, OP, and not something else in the cabin? I'm not sure how, short of a panel or latch coming loose, that much air would be coming in where it wasn't before.

I will say I know there have been a few soft top threads where folks have noticed the fabric stitching around the ribbing of the soft top frame has come loose allowing the fabric to flap more in the wind. You might try a close inspection of those cross-members to see if that's the case.

I took all the windows off today, tightened some screws at the front seam, tightened bolts on roof frame and put it all back together again and it seemed to do the trick. My guess is the screws up front loosened in the cold allowing enough air to come in and rattle the roof something fierce. ??it stays quiet. I should mention I also removed a hood rock deflector as well - not sure if it was a combination of everything or just one, but it’s quiet again thankfully.

I have had two different premium soft tops and both made noise at higher speeds with a single window down. Not the same as what your experiencing I would guess but neither were quite. Very irritating to the point I was trying to sell the soft top. But now that I work from home, I put it back on for the convenience during the summer lol.
