I see we have some mountain bikers here. 1UP rack has been rock solid for me for the past 3 years. The Yakima rack I had before was meh... at best.

The single rack takes up minimal space in the garage and it's easy to add the "add-on" tray if you need to carry another bike.

With the 1up single, can you open the rear gate without lowering the single? Currently have a Kuat 2, Lolo 4 - thinking of replacing Kuat with 1up single.

I'm going to have to let the other 1UP owners answer that. I have a Wilco hitch extension which lowers the rack 2" so I can open the tailgate. I also had this on my JK so I've never used the rack with just the stock hitch receiver.
