Do you happen to know what color the bumper is you powder coated?Just get the CavFab. You are adding a ton of weight back there on the gate that isn't made to hold it. The hinges will help, but that gate itself is pretty flimsy. With the CavFab, the entire weight of everything back there is on the upgraded carrier and that carrier is going directly to the tub/frame on bigger hinges with an extra hinge bolt.
One of the best upgrades I have done on my JLUR. It would REALLY suck to have a carrier fail with traffic behind you.
I did the bumper myself with Steel-It spray paint. 1012 Black.
Carrier cost just under $300 to powder coat. I thought that price was fair given that there were 5 separate pieces to be coated. I didn't have them coat the CavFab license plate bracket since I was not using it.That might be one of the best rear setups I’ve seen. If I ever unload my Alpha HD mount I would seriously consider copying that verbatim. Cavab carrier + bumper paired with Rock Hard camera mount and LOD license plate holder!
