Hey all. This past summer I purchased the Rugged Ridge Locking Hood Catch Kit and installed them on my Jeep. Finally got around to putting a video together covering a quick unboxing, the install and a short review of them. In short, I like them for the most part and they do a good job of keeping the underhood area secure. One thing I didn't care for is that in a certain position, the latch would lay against the fender of my Rubicon. There is a feature where it will hold itself up off the fender, but if you're not aware, it could lay down on the fender. In my case, my fenders are painted, so I didn't care for that too much. I suspect that someone with the low fenders of a non-Rubicon wouldn't have this issue, but I can't confirm that. If you interested, check out my video. Thanks!

How are they holding up? I'm looking at getting a set. Or if anyone else has a good suggestion.
I can't do the bolt hood latch as my 24 has the front camera.

I sold the Jeep in January 2024 and the hood latches shortly thereafter. I turned the Jeep back to stock and sold all the parts privately. They worked well and I thought it was a worthwhile purchase.

I have the Rugged Ridge Locking Hood catches on my JL - they have been good - they do what they are supposed and no issues at all.
