Not sure why you would ever want to disconnect it but you could always use this:

Those are the connectors that I used too. I thought having a disconnect would be great if I ever changed my mind about the light. As it turns out, I have never changed my mind, I like the look of the ring better than an OEM appendage sticking out from the top of an already tall spare tire (37" BFG KO2) with a Rough Country relocation bracket.
