wouldn't the other give away be the badge is only on one side? Someone in the detailing department slapped that thing on it when it got on the lot and thought it would be funny most likely.

To be totally honest, Your Jeep has me reconsidering the "I MUST have a 2 door no matter what" stance. I always thought the 2 door looked much better... until now. A 4 door would be MUCH easier to live with daily..... WELL DONE!!
Thanks Robert. I loved my TJ (had it for 6 yrs) but really like the ride and roominess of the JLU. This is not my DD but find myself driving it more then my pickup :)

here we go again...
maybe. But if you mention “turbo lag” about a turbo engine made in this century, I know you don’t know what you’re talking about. I guess I should be ashamed I took the bait.

So besides being wider, are the Recon side step rails stronger, thicker, etc? They are now an option on the 2021 models.

They are wider as you mention and work pretty well as a step.

According to the JPP catalog:
- Roll-formed for strength
- Zinc, E-coat, and finished with PPG DuraBull coating

Not really sure if they are made any thicker than the previous offering. I'd tend to think they are not as Jeep engineers look to walk the fine line between strength and weight.

I know right. Soooo I'm right back at what EXACTLY is the reason for buying a Recon? LOL
Sorry but thats not a recon. redundant question.

I am also sorry there is something out there better than a Rubicon.

Steven gave the answer, but here’s a pic of the step/rail (which I really like as a step):
