i love the color. it really pops in the sun. i had to order it. but i wouldve had to order no matter the color
finding a manual trans on long island was next to impossible. i had to call like 11 dealers just to try a stick... and it wasnt even a rubicon. i liked it with the 3.45s, so i figured the 4.10s would be great.. and they were. very happy with my Jeep
i will post an updated pic this weekend with the rope and d-ring shackles on it.... in the sun.
I tried to test drive a manual Sahara but it was in engine protection mode and wasn't running even close to correctly so I couldn't test drive it. Originally I wanted a manual and wasn't even considering an auto until I drove this one! Super nice transmission.
i think you picked the right transmission for the 3.45 gearing....especially if you upsize the tires.
that 8 speed is supposed to be amazing.
the manual is awesome with the 4.10s in the rubicon. i dont know if i would like it as much in a sport or sahara
For the record I was looking hard at the stubby steel version of your bumper, but I am a huge fan of LoD products (their CS is spotty though) and ultimately went that route. I do have the Rock Hard skids and I ran into some issues during install. The tech gave me his cell phone # and we texted back and forth working through the problem. That is excellent, overboard CS. I have no problem recommending them or their products.
As for the stock plastic bumper, yep, it's a one hit wonder, literally. It looks nice, but one rub on a tree or boulder and it's done.
ETA- The 8 speed auto in the Rubicon absolutely rocks. I don't miss rowing the gears at all like I did with my 2013 JKR.
