Rocker guards?

Has anyone seen anyone making these outside body panels for the JL? I'm not sure exactly what the technical name for them are, but they run across the bottom outside of the Jeep below the sills as pictured. Also, other than protecting the paint and lower body what's their purpose and what are your opinions on them?

Metal Cloak rocker guards. The panels are called rocker guards.

That area of basically every vehicle is referred to simply as rocker panels. So I would believe “Rocker Plates” or “Rocker Guards” would be an accurate description. Here are a couple options that I pulled from the Quadratec site.

I got the Motobilts, no time to install yet. The goal is no rocker guards other than this, I'll see how it works out (eventually)

I do have question about Rocker Guards / Steps. I’m about to take delivery of JLJP74. I have been preparing for this now for about 2.5 years.

SUPER EXCITED is a gross understatement!!!!!

So during this “Prep” time over the past 2.5 years I’ve always been on the lookout for mod options that I would want to do. Have over 200 pics on my phone. A little obsessed according to my 17 year old daughter.

I came across this Rocker Guard/Step sometime back and I really like it.

Problem.....

I have no idea of the Manufacturer. I hung around for a while and the owner never showed. Have not seen another one.

Anyone know what the manufacturer could be? Thanks in advance.

Westin, Rough Country, and Magnum all make the ones that are closest to that.

N-Fab makes something similar, but they are more rounded

I checked out Magnum and saw numerous bad reviews. Rust, install and hardware issues. Then others said they were great.

I live in a snow state and mine will be an everyday driver so I definitely don’t want something that is going to rust a year in to ownership. Guess I will check out the others you mentioned. Thanks again!!!!
