Right Tail Light Out message despite it working?

So I bought a replacement tail light off eBay.

It works fine, HOWEVER: I keep getting a "right tail light out" message because the little marker light at the top isn't working. Even when my OEM tail light was out, it did not throw this message. What's up with that? Anyone else experience this?

I recently bought a used 2024 JLU with the a driver's side taillight out message. It has aftermarket LED taillights (Motobilt high clearance Taillights). I was going to order a Tazer JL Mini (for a TPMS problem) but before I did I discovered that the Jeep had a PowerTeq installed in it. I bought the Tazer and I still got the same taillight out message after installing the Tazer. I then set the taillights to standard and then reset it back to LED using the Tazer and I no longer get the message.
