RESPONSE TIME ON THIS SITE

I view and participate in other forums and don't seem to experience the slow down, lag that I get on this site. Get msg often at top of screen that says waiting on page, etc.
Why is this?

You could also do a diagnostic yourself - site runs great for me across multiple networks.
