Can't use my VPN to reach this site.

I normally use a VPN for security etc. When I try to reach this site with my VPN, I get a "forbidden" message. I use my VPN all the time, and the fact that this web site doesn't allow it is kinda bugging me. Maybe I shouldn't be here. I'm using a very popular, widely available, highly rated VPN. What's the deal?

I have to turn my phone's VPN off to get on the site the first time when I refresh the server. This is the only site which does it, but once I get in I turn it back on.

I just tried chrome and safari (I'm on a mac). No dice. I suppose it could be my internet provider (Comcast / Xfinity), but this is the only site that I have a problem with.

Can you upload a screenshot of the exact forbidden message? Also, if you visit a website that identifies your location with your VPN active, what country is your VPN being identified as? Since others with VPNs are not having problems, maybe your VPN is using a blocked country like NK.

No issue with my company VPN except that I have to go through the exercise of identifying buses or boats each time I log in. On my personal laptop... not needed.

Maybe it is one of your ad blockers? Try temporarily turning them off and refreshing. Does your VPN allow you to set a location? Maybe check to make sure it is reporting somewhere in the US?

The link below has some specific workarounds. I doubt there is anything JLWranglerforums is doing to block VPNs since others with VPNs aren’t having problems.

any chance you downloaded the Ios update? My mobile did that and I had to refresh the network settings and it's fine now.
